The purpose of creating and managing hubs and innovation ecosystems in applied research within Vocational Education and Training (VET) is to foster collaboration among educational institutions, research centres, and businesses, aiming to develop innovative solutions and enhance students’ skills to meet current labor market demands. Upon completing the module 14 participants will understand what a hub is in the context of VET, the steps for designing and creating one, what an innovation ecosystem is, its components, and the factors contributing to its success. They will be able to design, develop, and manage innovation hubs, create and maintain partnerships with various stakeholders, promote innovative thinking, enhance teamwork, and continuously seek new knowledge and skills. These outcomes prepare individuals to effectively create and manage innovation hubs and ecosystems, thereby improving the quality and impact of VET. Also, module 14 uses videos to introduce basic knowledge about hubs and articles to highlight different needs for creating an innovation hub.
